The Smart Way to Say “I Do”
Getting married in Hong Kong is one of the simplest and most efficient options for international couples — especially compared to the red tape in Germany or the Philippines.
No mountains of documents. If you're both single, a passport is enough. We recommend adding a "Single Proof" for safety, like an extended residence certificate.
No visa needed for citizens of over 170 countries.
No religious or nationality restrictions. Perfect for bi-national or interfaith couples.
Fast processing: Your wedding can be booked within just a few weeks.
Globally recognized marriage certificate with apostille from the Hong Kong High Court.
Forget the nightmare of marriage documents in your local registry Office – no need for:
Certificate of no impediment
Family members’ birth certificates
Endless embassy appointments
We take care of the bureaucracy, you focus on your love story.
Your wedding timeline – from planning to “I do”
Planning your Hong Kong wedding is easier than it looks. Here's how it works:
Application: We help file your marriage notice at one of Hong Kong’s two marriage offices. You only need your passport, and if applicable, divorce decrees or previous marriage certificates.
Legalization: We'll guide you through the simple notarization of the “Notice of Intended Marriage” — it’s the only paperwork step you handle yourself.
Submission & Confirmation: We send your documents to Hong Kong and pay the registration fee (305 HKD) on your behalf.
Booking Travel: Only after receiving official confirmation from the registry should you book flights and hotel.
In Hong Kong: Arrive 2 business days before the ceremony to present your original documents in person. After the wedding, apply for the apostille for international validity.
Optional embassy visits may be required depending on your nationality — we’ll guide you through it.
Want to speed things up? We can help arrange personal registration or request the earliest available date.
Your marriage is valid – worldwide.
Right after the ceremony, you’ll receive your official Hong Kong marriage certificate — with names spelled exactly like in your passports.
No mandatory registration in Germany, though doing so might bring tax benefits. Check with your local registry office.
Name change can be handled later with your local civil registry.
You can now apply for a family reunion visa to bring your spouse to your Country.
No document chaos. No embassy ping-pong. Just a legal, recognized marriage — and the start of your life together.

That depends on a few factors.
There are two main ways to register your wedding in Hong Kong:
1. The Standard Route – Overseas Application
This is the most common method and involves a simple notarization of the “Notice of Intended Marriage.” From booking to wedding day, the process typically takes 1.5 to 2 months. It’s ideal for couples who prefer a fully remote process with no need to travel early.
2. The Faster Option – Personal Registration
If you're in a hurry, one partner can appear in person at the marriage registry. Once we've booked your appointment, you’ll skip the notarization step and save on courier costs. Even better: you can choose your wedding date on the spot, and the earliest possible ceremony is just 15 days later. This drastically shortens the waiting time.
Of course, how fast things move also depends on your marital status and how quickly you can provide the necessary documents.
To successfully register your marriage in Hong Kong through the Overseas Application, you’ll need to complete a simple notarization of the “Notice of Intended Marriage.”
Here’s how it works:
You send us copies of your passports and supporting documents.
We pre-fill the “Notice of Intended Marriage” for you.
One of you visits a Notary Public and signs the document in person.
The notary certifies your signature.
You send us a photo of the notarized document for final review.
We send you the shipping address and next steps via email.
You send the notarized documents via express courier to Hong Kong.
This is the only part of the process where you need to get personally involved — and we’re with you every step of the way.
Your tasks in the entire process are minimal — here’s what you’ll need to do:
Send us the required documents as soon as possible after booking.
We’ll then complete the forms for you and send them back for review.
Take care of the notarization of the “Notice of Intended Marriage.”
Ship the notarized documents via express courier to Hong Kong.
That’s it. Everything else — from coordination to official procedures — is handled entirely by our back-office team and local staff in Hong Kong.
No!
That’s one of the biggest advantages of getting married in Hong Kong:
You don’t need a Certificate of No Impediment or a mountain of paperwork.
The entire process is much simpler and faster compared to getting married in your home country — and way less stressful.
All couples must provide a valid passport (or Hong Kong ID, if applicable). Depending on your marital status, additional documents are required:
Single: Only your passport is needed initially. However, the registry may request a Single Proof. For German citizens, this is typically an “erweiterte Meldebescheinigung” (extended residence certificate), translated into English.
Divorced: Divorce certificate and final court decree. Both must be translated into English or Chinese.
Widowed: Death certificate and marriage certificate of the deceased spouse. Originals must be translated into English or Chinese.
Additionally: If your name differs across documents (e.g., passport vs. divorce decree), or you were married in a different country, extra supporting documents may be required. Don’t worry — we’ll check everything for you and prepare any additional paperwork needed.
Besides your flights and hotel, the following costs may apply:
Notarization fee at a Notary Public
Express courier to send documents to Hong Kong (Both are not needed if you choose the personal registration option.)
Marriage registration fee in Hong Kong: 715 HKD on weekdays 1,935 HKD on weekends or public holidays
Apostille at the High Court: 125 HKD per certificate
Optional embassy documents, depending on your nationality, may also come with extra charges.
These are not included in our package, but we’ll guide you through every step so there are no surprises.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 more months on the day you enter Hong Kong.
The same rule applies if you’re using a Hong Kong ID.
Unfortunately, not immediately.
Your spouse will first need to apply for the appropriate visa at the relevant embassy or consulate in their country.
This process usually takes 1 to 3 months from the date of the embassy appointment.
But don’t worry — we can support you!
We work with specialists who are experienced in handling family reunification and visa processes.
We strongly recommend registering your marriage directly at the embassy or consulate in Hong Kong. Why? Because it’s usually much faster than doing it in your home country — and you’ll need this proof later for visa applications.
Yes, it means staying a bit longer in Hong Kong, but you’ll save time, stress, and money in the long run.
As an optional service, we can have all your completed documents express shipped to any address you choose.
